Easy. Don't sit on the bike. If you are on a level spot, leave the bike on the side-stand, put it in neutral and start it up. It should stay put, then you can finnish getting geared-up while the bike warms up. I always let mine warm up while it's on the side-stand. It has never left without me yet! Sorry I didn't explain that part earlier.
